This was the opening song last night...(he dances 3/4 of the way into it or so)
I need help neigborly neighbors! I ordered my ticket off of StubHub...I've never done that before so I don't know what to expect.
I got a confirmation email confirming 'the order'; however, it says that I should be getting a second email when the transaction goes through and the actual purchase is done, then, and only then, the ticket will be overnighted. I ordered it Saturday. I haven't gotten the 2nd email. I expected this to happen today but it hasn't as of yet.
So, this is where you come in: who out there has used stub hub? How'd it go? Am I being setup? Am I being watched by the FBI as they cackle at my stubhub ignorance? STUBHUB MUST COME THROUGH. The show. is. Saturday.
I need ticky. my ticky. pit. five hundred and sixty-six dollars.
tick it. come hither.

It wasn't cheap. ($566.00) It's only something a crazed fan would do. Glad I happen to have the extra $ because that is normally NOT the case.
I'm sorta shocked still. I'm a bit skeptical of the seats b/c there is not a seat row/# but at least it says PIT four times.
Ok, going to take a xanax now. ;)
To all those who purchased Radiohead tickets at face value and turned around to sell them for ungodly amounts of money: you obviously have no conscience or concern for anyone but yourself and your wallet, which, by the way, I hope gets stolen. You had nothing to do with creating the art, therefore you should not be making hundreds of dollars off of it - very simple.
Now, with that off my chest...
I have to support these sick-o's if I want any sort of decent seat for the show next weekend. So, the mongers will get my 500 bucks and I'll get a ticket. Cocks.
It was low-key and nice. It was the first weekend in a long time I haven't had piles of school work to do. I'm free of it until June 16th when practicum begins.
weekend goods:
-bookstore with T
-reading half of the novel I bought - Little Children (forgot the author's name and the book is on my patio right this moment - sorry...it's not the most riveting tale anyhow, but it's light reading that doesn't take too much concentration)
-watched DeLovely (Cole Porter's bio) which made me weep
-very early morning park adventures in p.j's with the schnauzers & coffee
-belly laughs with Tay as she and I danced in the kitchen like fools
-visited with my nephews today and realized how much they associate me with nature and wildlife as we spotted red-eared sliders (turtles) in a pond at the park. They become enamored with it while around me, knowing I'm just as interested as they are.
-baked chocolate chip cookies for the first time in way too long (Toll House, not scratch - c'mon)
Looking forward to:
-new student starts tomorrow (18 mos. old! )
-Radiohead show coming sooooon and I think I'm going alone since Sus can't make it and my sister is not interested at all I'm sure which blows. It's one of those things where I don't understand how one can really get into contemporary christian music and she doesn't get Radiohead or try. So be it. I'm still going.
I love my neighbors here. Yea, you.
On another random note:
Today is University library day. I have to go get copious amounts of articles on reserve to write reflections on. Nothing makes me more excited than old yellowed articles on reserve. Tay is going to accompany me. She'll undoubtedly get lost in the World History section knowing her.
Edit. THAT never happened. I came across a nice packet of readings that I've got to do write-ups on so I dismissed the library deal. This is all a-okay because Tuesday is THE END. The end of this semester. The month of May will be paper and professor free. The month of May has a week off of work in the schedule. The month of May brings Radiohead to Houston and me to Radiohead.
Loathe
-feeling unmotivated
-that there is a strict attendance policy for a master's level class...that we pay for.
-when a co-worker does the absolute minimum required
-when Tay is in a grouchy mood because she has allergies and isn't sleeping enough
Love
- Lucky Charms
- spending time outdoors. The weather has been amazing.
- when someone sees something positive about me that I may not fully see or acknowledge in myself and they express it
- KID A cd I listened to on the way to work...I can't wait to see Radiohead.
-flocks of white ibis flying over while walking with the dogs...surreal and beautiful...
-Tay's laugh
-naps..if I get to take one, it's kind of late for one. They are quickly becoming my favorite thing. Wonderful naps.
things I loathe on Tuesday:
- any halfway decent Radiohead tickets being unavailable (unless I have an extra 800 bucks! People, please...I've bought some expensive concert tickets before - only for Tori Amos shows, but nothing near that price :( very, very upsetting.
- the feeling of anxiety (can't read or do anything properly because I can't concentrate when anxious)
- the very mean, nasty, old haggy neighbor who yelled at/kicked at my dogs when they were not on their leash...yes, I know, they should have been on the leash but we were just going to the car, plus, they are very sweet dogs.
-crap weather
things I love on Tuesday:
- Tay coming home
- laughing 'till my stomach hurts
- eating out with family
- anxiety meds!
- the sound of T's laugh
-the snippets of hope that twirl inside me...saying...'you'll be in the Radiohead show my dear, and you won't be 800 bucks out, and you won't be on the lawn 'cuz that's not how you roll babe. And, Sus and hopefully, Melissa will be with you. (ya copy girls?)
